Wendell Gibbs is an active board member of the Canadian Black Clergy and Allies (CBCA). He is the pastor of First Baptist Church Toronto located in the downtown corridor, and is ordained with the Canadian Baptist Of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ) fellowship. He is also a volunteer chaplain with the Toronto Police Services and Scarborough Health Network.

A graduate of Tyndale University, Wendell was shaped with strong Christian values, which instilled a response towards faithful leadership in every area of Community and Christian ministry over the past 37. He is a resource for networking, and carries a convicting vision for peace and unity among all of God’s kingdom children, as prayed for by Jesus in John 17:2b, “…May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that you have sent Me. …Christ the Messiah."

Wendell is married to his beautiful Rosil for 31 years, and they’ve produced two wonderful young adults in Brandon and Brittney.
