Rev. Apostle Alvin Nicholson is an active Board Member of the Canadian Black Clergy and Allies (CBCA). He is the founder and lead Pastor of Agape Ministries and is ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC).  He is a member of the Canadian Coalition of Apostolic Leaders and the Greater Toronto Area Apostolic Team. He is also the current Chair of the African Canadian Christian Network (ACCN), a non-profit partnering ministry dedicated to helping Black youth lead productive lives free of violence.

Alvin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from Nyack College, New York, and a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois.  His leadership background stems from the West Indies School of Theology, where he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree. He also served as the General Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies.

 

Alvin is married to his lovely wife, Rev. Lena Nicholson since 1973, and are the parents of two married children, Dwight and Dannielle, along with three grandchildren.  They have share shared pastoral ministry for over 35 years and among many of their accolades, are the mission founders of Uplift International, an international, interdenominational short-term missions movement that has undertaken mission activities in 12 African nations since 1997.
